The Guardian is only ‘here because Malcolm Turnbull put it here’

The Australian’s Gerard Henderson says ABC’s Insiders is “always banging on about transparency” but it featured The Guardian’s Lenore Taylor and Katherine Murphy “supporting Malcolm Turnbull” without revealing his role in establishing the paper.

For years Insiders had “two people sitting on the couch criticising Tony Abbott, supporting Malcolm Turnbull, opposing Scott Morrison for a while,” he said.

Mr Henderson told Sky News host Andrew Bolt, Editor of The Guardian Ms Taylor and The Guardian’s Political Editor Ms Murphy sat on Insiders and never said ‘hang on I’m only here because Malcolm Turnbull put me here'”.

In former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull’s memoir ‘A Bigger Picture’ he revealed his role in the establishment of green-left online news platform The Guardian.

  1. It is time Bolt gave Henderson a rest. How many times to we have to hear about Henderson's hatred for the ABC and Labor, and his love for the Catholic Church, Pell and Walter Murdoch.
The ABC 's funding should be doubled, that is how much we should care for our children.

  2. 🇦🇨 BEWARE OF THE SMIRK 🇦🇨 NO MASKS FOR AUSTRALIANS
What a fucking damned low act, Scott Morrison gave the CCP'S Naval Warships the keys to Sydney Harbour and turned a blind eye to Darwin Harbour being given to China for a 100 years lease and our great friends America were never offered it. Giving Australian coal to the CCP and blocking Australians from using it, blocking our prosperity and causing hardship for Australians. WAKE UP AUSTRALIANS

  3. In defense of the ABC I have to give it to them that they have a great sense of self-deprecating humor when they relentlessly broadcast this slogan: "the ABC is the most trusted News source in Australia"
