I agree that the smugglers raking in the cash should be stopped. But how can the " unfortunate" migrant find the cash to be put on a useless dinghy? If they have that sort of money, why don't they buy a plane ticket and upon entering the country claim asylum, if they are indeed asylum seekers and not just people who think the UK streets are paved with gold?
