Netanyahu fired Gallant due to differences over the war in Gaza, the conscription of ultra-Orthodox Jews and retrieving the hostages in Gaza. The protesters gathered outside the prime minister’s house

  2. Wait a sec, why this protest never happened in Iran when Iranians faced Economic Hardships by Sanctions from US?

How is Ayatollah still in power despite Iranians have the power to overthrow even Military Relatives?

  3. They should not abuse their freedom to the point that the security of israel will be at stake. Netanyahu has the right to change his cabinet as part of his constitutional power as PM and that right should be respected. As long as netanyahu did not bypass his power that vested in him by the constitution which gaves him the authority to select his ministers and cabinet members whom he trusted then the public anger is not in the right place.

  4. I’m not sure that this short representation of gallant is entirely correct. Let’s not paint him as someone pushing for a ceasefire, instead he has been consistently calling out for an objective for the war and a need to be flexible in negotiating terms for the release of hostages. If he was “opposed to the military preoccupation of Palestinian territory” there is no way he would have lasted this long. Make no mistake: Israelis are protesting against the fact that there are still hostages and that the war is ongoing. Not that they object to the war itself, but that it is not over. The overwhelming majority of Israelis are calling for a more swift ethnic cleansing of occupied territories.
