Aerial footage shows scale of wildfires burning in California

A wind-driven wildfire roared through rural and residential communities north-west of Los Angeles, charring more than 10,000 acres (4,000 hectares) and levelling scores of homes.

Hundreds of firefighters battled the blaze through the night using ground resources and helicopters, according to the Ventura county fire department. At least two people were injured and several structures were damaged or destroyed by the fire in Ventura County, the fire department has reported.
