A children’s YouTube star has announced the heartbreaking death of his son, who lived with a genetic disease.
Daniel Coleman, host of the Danny Go! YouTube channel, shared the news of his 14-year-old son Isaac’s passing to social media on Friday.
“Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet,” Coleman said.

“I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process.“
Isaac had been battling with Fanconi anemia, a genetic disorder that impairs the body’s ability to repair damaged DNA.
It causes bone marrow failure and increases the risk of blood cancer and tumours.
Coleman documented his son’s years-long battle with the disorder, which involved numerous operations and the hiring of a hospice team to make the last four weeks of his life less painful.
“Looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride,” Coleman said.
“Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all.
“You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!”
Throughout his son’s ordeal, Coleman posted more than 100 videos to the Danny Go! YouTube channel which are aimed at inspiring “learning and off-the-couch exercise” for children.
The videos have amassed more than 5 billion views while the channel has attracted more than 4.7 million subscribers.
Other children’s entertainers including The Wiggles have shared their support with Coleman following his son’s death.
“Sending so much love to you all,” The Wiggles said.
Cocomelon also commented, saying: “We’re so sorry for your loss, Danny. Sending your family so much love during this time.”
