Matildas captain Sam Kerr has announced that she and her partner Kristie Mewis are expecting a baby.
She posted a collage of black and white photos on Instagram, in one holding up an ultrasound scan, and in another pointing to Mewis’s stomach.
“Mewis-Kerr baby coming 2025!” the post said.
Kerr proposed to her long-term girlfriend, American professional soccer player Mewis, in 2023.

The two went public with their relationship in 2021 after the Tokyo Olympics.
Rumours about the pair’s relationship emerged after their teams played against each other in the bronze medal match in the women’s semifinals.
After the US won 4-3 against Australia, Mewis sat down to hug and console Kerr.
