A short time after the shooting, police found an Audi SUV, matching the description of the car, on fire on Windarra Street in Narwee.

Witness Susan called into 2GB and told Clinton Maynard her husband was stuck in traffic on Grand Parade when he saw shots being fired outside of a car.

She said her husband allegedly saw two men fire bullets from a moving car before fleeing the scene.

“Then the car sped off and was speeding throughout all the traffic,” she said.

“Complete shock, he’s in shock.”
