Nvidia is investigating reports of RTX 4090 power connectors melting

Update: In regards to recent reports of melting power connectors on RTX 4090 graphics cards (there are now two from Reddit), Nvidia says it is investigating and will be in contact with the owners of the cards, The Verge reports (opens in new tab).

In his testing, which you can see in the video embedded below, the bending of a 12VHPWR cable close to the connector increased the temperature measured at the connection point by around 1°C.
