  2. Multiple Streams of Income and Rich Dad Poor Dad! Two books that got me into investing!

  3. ๐Ÿ‘‹ I love your suggestions on material. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for finance courses. Looking for a Canadian program to follow along with or a book to purchase that is laid out as a course with tests/questions etc.

  4. Hi new subscriber here maybe you already done it but I would like to see a video of the 10 or 20 best dividend stock to own in the Canadian market.

  5. All you need to practice in life is one principle, and I will quote Warren Buffet โ€œThe difference between successful people and really successful people, is that really successful people say no to almost everything.โ€

  6. Iโ€™ll be adding Algonquin to my portfolio next. I have to say my best performers this past year were stocks I bought on your recommendation. Did very well with OVV and CNQ. If only FANS would go up weโ€™d be 3 for 3!

  7. Iโ€™ve a question regarding monthly dividend payments. Iโ€™m pretty new to trading and use wealthsimple app. I bought 20 BTB.UN shares in the month of May,2021. I was under the impression that I will be getting a monthly dividend on May 28,2021. However I didnโ€™t receive any dividend. Could you please explain how the dividend payment works?

  8. Great list of books ! I read couple of them and few others. By the way Brandon I'm getting a spam messages pretending it's you from a WhatsApp number. Just to let you know I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem too๐Ÿ™‚

  9. One book I found that touched on investing but also dealt with the many other financial decisions that might need to be made in life is "The Smart Canadian Wealth-Builder". It is written like a conversation where a grandfather teaches his grandkids about finances over several weekend visits, but I found the guidance great and would recommend it for any beginner.

  10. ,,Rule 1 investing'' is in my opinion good book to have in your collection .For starting adventure with investing ,,Millionaire teacher'' is good one to start safe . Also if you are an expat there is ,,Millionaire expat ''' by the same author . On more personal finance I would recommend ,,Millionaire next door'' and as starting books ,,Wealthing like rabbits '' (for Canadians) and ,,I will teach you to be rich '' are good fun reads .

  11. Reading the four hour work week right now. incredible so far, highly recommend if you havenโ€™t read that one!

  12. Book: Unshakeable

Your Financial Freedom Playbook. I wasn't a reader until I bought an eReader. Now I devour daily. Mostly free ebooks and audiobooks from my local library. Easy!!

  13. I liked The Millionaire Next Door. It does get repetitive but the first few chapters and the overall message reshaped the image and definition of what wealth truly means for me ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Nice video! Only read Peter Lynch's and parts of Ben Graham's.

I'd recommend: The Entrepreneurial State by Mariana Mazzucato — dismantles some private-vs.-public sector myths, including that wealth creation only comes from the private sector. There's a whole chapter for example on how pretty much every component of the iPhone (touch screen, GPS, the internet, etc.) comes from government-funded research. Shifts perspectives on who is actually a risk taker in the economy; for example, the government has given subsidies to plenty of green energy companies… plenty have failed and the subsidies are seen as "government waste"… then some like Tesla succeed… when the companies fail, the government assumes the risk…. and when it succeeds like Tesla, the public (us) don't get to reap the rewards of our investment via stock ownership or whenever. Lots of other stuff. Great book to think differently about the economy.
