A construction worker has died after a suspected trench collapse at a housing estate development north of Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to a rural worksite on Quinns Road in Kilmore, about 65 km north of Melbourne, about 11.30am following reports a person was trapped.
It appears earthworks were being carried out at the site where the male worker died.
WorkSafe has been notified of the industrial accident and inspectors are responding.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
