US does not back Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, says Joe Biden

Joe Biden has said the US would not back an Israeli retaliatory strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities, after Tehran launched a massive ballistic missile attack in response to the assassinations of the Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, and Hamas’s chief, Ismail Haniyeh. Biden said: ‘We’ll be discussing with the Israelis what they’re going to do, but all seven of us [G7] agree that they have a right to respond’
