TikTok v US government: Potential ban goes to court

TikTok has faced off with the U.S. government in court in a bid to overturn a law that could lead to the popular video-sharing app being banned in the U.S.

The law forces parent company ByteDance to sell the platform to a non-Chinese buyer – or be banned nationwide.

TikTok is seen by many politicians in Washington as a national security threat, due to its links with China.
