The disaster began on the night of 29 October, leaving 220 dead and nearly 80 people still missing. Residents are protesting about the way the incident was handled, putting regional leader Carlos Mazón under immense pressure after his administration failed to issue alerts to citizens’ mobile phones until hours after the flooding started

  1. After hundreds of years of enjoying the worlds climate destroying it by the industrial revolution and lack of care for the earth they blame their leaders😅 We need a new world strategy the west I’ve got it wrong. They failed now all they have is their right wing views and flooding.

  2. It is not possible to be inactive, irresponsible, frivolous and indifferent without any consequences. Both the Government of the Autonomous Community of Valencia and the National Government must comply with what society demands. "It is time to apply the PROFESSIONAL CODE of ETHICS"

  3. Do not buy the info to RTVE or EFE, dear foreing "journalists". Once in your life, move your arses and investigate a little!!!! This was not a popular protest, but a violent action planned by the national govermnet!

  4. How come no coverage of equally angry protestors in MADRID??? These are the angry Valencianos. Plenty more angry people in the capital and outside the Socialist Party HQ in Ferraz Street

  5. the way this tragedy has been instrumentalized by politicians is incredible. I think Spanish society is fed up with politics that have suported mainly rich expats and tourists and little it has been done for the locals. when a tragedy like this happens, you cant wait a week to send help. shame

  6. On 15th will be the main one that will demand the resignation of Pedro Sanchez. This "strike" was moved by the left of spain. So, no, people ask for the head of the prime minister. Informs shows he didnt say anything to valencia knowing dana was coming by the spanish secret services.

  7. I was 5 kilometers away. On the other side of the new river bed. That afternoon and that night it wasn't raining. I got an alert on my phone. At that time people were already drowning. The swamps and dams couldn't hold any more water. I only knew that it was raining a lot in the inland areas. I didn't expect this. The roads and bridges were destroyed. That night I didn't leave the building. I found out through social media. How could I have been so close that night and not found out? I didn't see emergency vehicles on the streets or anything that could alert me of what was happening. The people around me were like me. Waiting for the authorities to do their duty. For four days, four days the authorities of the Valencia region and the Spanish government had more than 80 municipalities affected, four days, with the dead in the streets and garages, without water, without electricity, without homes, without families. This is a crime that the politicians of both parties have done to the Valencian people. A crime. 😢

  8. In Spain we know perfectly well that responsibilities are shared between the Autonomous Government and the Central Government. Several criminal complaints are already being filed against both Carlos Mazon, who is responsible for the Government
Valencian as towards Pedro Sánchez responsible for the Central Government. Justice will determine responsibilities and not politicians who only look for their partisan interests
