Stranded ‘Odyssey’ ship finally sets sail for ‘perpetual’ world cruise

A passenger ship – described as the world’s first continual cruise liner – which aims to visit all seven continents, has finally set sail.

The Villa Vie Odyssey has left Belfast after months of delays and repairs, and is estimated to have cost its owners millions of dollars.

The inaugural voyage will last over 1,300 days, visiting all seven continents and stopping at 425 ports, with some planning to make it their home.
