We’re delighted to share this moment from the AFTRS production – Rock Steady. This short documentary was filmed on Biripi and Gumbaynggirr Country on NSW’s Mid North Coast, and uncovers Australia’s environmental crisis as ancient forests, critical to endangered species and ecosystems survival, are being destroyed.
Director Lauri said about the film, “Local ecologists and activists reflect on their fight to protect these vital habitats. As you read this, these same forests fall- the urgency to #endnativeforestlogging is NOW. With deep gratitude to Uncle John Clarke OAM, Uncle Michael Jarrett, and the Biripi and Gumbaynggirr Peoples for their permission to film on each distinct Country. Save Bulga Forest, The Great Koala National Park and our native endangered species from irreparable damage. Nothing changes if nothing changes.”
