Macron likens Europe to a herbivore as he calls for it to ‘take back control’

After Donald Trump’s victory in the US election, the French president, Emmanuel Macron, has called on European countries to ‘take back control’, likening them to herbivores that face the threat of being ‘devoured’ by geopolitical opponents.

Speaking at a meeting of the European Political Community in Hungary, Macron said: ‘If we decide to remain herbivores, the carnivores will win – and we’ll just become a market for them.’ Macron added that he did not want Europe to be aggressive – offering it the option of being an omnivore instead

  1. Macron trying to exist on the EU scene after failing entirely in France … he left France with catastrophic debt a failing economy but he is giving lessons to the EU as to what to do … extraordinary how these failed leaders always manage to bounce back …

No one force Europe to not build a Cloud but they didn’t give preference to build software ecosystem as it creates imbalance in salaries between software employees and industrial workers and may tip the purchasing power parity and Inturn tips off affordability for blue collar workers. It’s populism and it didn’t work.
