Australia has urged Iran not to take any military action against Israel to prevent an escalation of conflict in the Middle East. It comes after Iran vowed revenge after a suspected Israeli airstrike on Iran’s embassy in Damascus killed a top Iranian general.
Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack but says it’s ready to respond after Tehran’s threats of reprisals.
