The initial call from the chair was a warning before Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo, Sutjiadi and Kato’s opponent, highlighted to the umpire that the ball girl was clearly distressed. The supervisor was then called to the court and the decision was made to disqualify the pair.

She is just a child. Stop bashing her in the comments. When attention is placed on a child like that it can be overwhelming. The opponent would have take issue and went to the umpire whether the girl was crying or not.
The girls reaction was very apt. It is scary to face a tennis ball at that speed, perhaps10 mph, specially when you are a ball kid. Terrorizing!
