A record-breaking and relentless deluge lasting days has flooded towns and cities along Queensland’s south-east coast, and down into northern New South Wales. Thousands of homes have been submerged and at least eight people have died. The rain is not over yet, with the low-pressure system responsible for the inundation now moving south towards the NSW Central Coast and Sydney regions.
