Douglas Murray questions ‘niche, ridiculous, elite’ Guardian coverage on Garrick Club

Author Douglas Murray has questioned The Guardian’s coverage of the Garrick Club as a “niche, ridiculous, elite” argument which is “ludicrous”.

The Garrick Club – a gentlemen’s club in London – voted on Tuesday to allow women to join for the first time.

It followed a row that had bitterly divided its male-only membership.

“First of all, isn’t it hilarious The Guardian are really at the forefront of the issues of our day,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“It’s so ludicrous.

“It’s that niche, ridiculous, the elite sort of argument that these people at The Guardian obsess about.”

  1. Douglas Murray at his best in this episode. His conclusions on each of the subjects in this episode are outstanding and hilarious. He nails it as usual. Rita, love your work too. You both always produce a great show together.
