  1. I'd rather ride a pushbike than buy a Chinese car. Safety, quality and morale issues aside, I don't want my data, location or other sensitive information being sent back to China, nor do I want them to have any control, whatsoever of my vehicle remotely.

  2. 🤣🤣
So many people in the comment are super angry that their neighbour can not only pitch a tent, but they have the skills and the tools to build one from scratch, whilst they are obsessing about what pronouns to call each other, and what toilets to use.
    🤣🤣

  3. Not just mainstream media… try saying anything bad about the CCP on YouTube and there is a very good chance your comment will be deleted within minutes. I wonder how long this comment will remain.

  4. Winston is completely wrong about Australia. After all the trade wars, China was completely on the nose with the entire country. They lost all goodwill and like the US, it is political suicide to support the Chinese government in anything.

  5. i feel conflicted about raising tariffs on chinese solar and electric cars and such green technology.
its because the western equivalent is often 10 times more expensive. like tesla cars, tesla solar roofs.
i doubt green technology can become widespread with just western prices because western governments dont believe in huge subsidies for green technology, not as huge subsidies as china, at least. It conflicts even in europe, like Germany wants to protect their autoworkers, but also wants green technology.
but you cant have your cake and eat it, too. and seems europe is slowly choosing tariffs against china, too. it in turn can start a trade war towards europe with china, so everything gets more expensive.
everything has its pros and cons.
some could say getting green technology to be widespread around the world takes priority over jobs, for a cleaner planet, that they just need to train themselves for new jobs.

there's also a bit of national security point to it, too, in europe at least, to become energy independent through renewable energy, so wouldn't anymore need to connected to russia, or middle-east, or to usa, or to anyone with needing gas, needing oil. like for example , "98% of all gas imports to Austria in December 2023 came from Russia." and thats a no-no for independence, russia-favoring parties get elected because of that dependence.

  6. U2 – interesting – and scary – Australia & Canada BELONGING to China (CCP) Excuse me – Too many Chinese immigrants in those Countries ????? -But would that ? not be a Governmental problem ?? – Do these Chinese poses a danger to the present (and maybe) future governments of those countries ?? If so, I prepose a one Way solution – deport ALL illigeal Chinese Immigrants in those two Countries back the the CCP. !!!👍👍👍👍👍

  7. Just let them fill the roads with their wheeled tofu cars. When they start to self-combust in synch across their countries because they wanted to save a buck to stash it in a tax haven, it will make for nice YouTube content 🤣The saddest part is people who will get hurt because of their tone deaf government but that's just like a national tradition for their despots at this point.

  8. The Australian government " SIMPS " to the chynese. Our moronic leader just loves pingy poo as he has been shown to run to him for a selfie. Sometimes you see something called a "cherry" and you just know that has to be one of those absurd chynese names they stick on things. So far I haven't see any battery toy chynese cars or herd of any bursting into flames but then it's only a matter of time.

  9. Look how the mighty have fallen. Deny customers the freedom to decide for themself, instead ban Chinese car components altogether is a massive infringement on individual rights and a step closer to the policies of the Chinese government: authoritarianism

  10. In America we already have foreign authoritarian propagandists that bought up media companies… they aren't from China but we have one from Australia, one from South Africa and several others from other countries. This is already a major issue leading to propaganda outlets like Fox-propaganda-News.

  11. Being in Australia, I couldn’t agree more with your comment. I wish our politicians would grow a pair and stand up for our country but they’re too afraid of any negative repercussions on our mining industry. And that’s also so frustrating. We dig up all these minerals just so we can send them to China and buy them back as low quality landfill (most of the time).

  12. On the topic of cameras and surveillance… what is ironic is it very difficult now to buy a hidden spy camera in China. Cameras in pens or fire alarms or clocks etc. they used to be available but now they are almost Impossible to find on their own shopping sites. must be a law against their use cos thats the only time their people do anything ethically – if jail is involved.

  13. I'm less concerned about Chinese spying via cars, because they already have so many human spies all around the world. But I'm more concerned with what the CCP could do with these cars in the event of a war between the US and China. Could they remote-drive them into crowds, shops, or restaurants? Could they drive them into poles that support transformers? Or they could just brick all the vehicles. There are probably hundreds of ways to attack us with these cars.

  14. Let’s say the lithium for the batteries come from china? Lithium processing is easy and cheap to do in china where the life of those millions of people living near the manufacturing plants are not valued by the government. When the people get a vote things get expensive

  15. I’m no fan of Chinese EV manufacturers dumping cheap cars in the US, but before we point too many fingers, take a look at the ridiculous Cybertruck or electric Hummer and ask yourself, would I survive an impact with that in my car or as a pedestrian? We could all do with driving smaller cars and driving fewer miles. I’m no radical, I’m just a regular guy.

  16. I don't want ANY day to day, at home servailance in my life. Not even US based servailance! If it is in my back yard or in my house, car or my private property…. but yeah… No china cams or mics ANYWHERE in the US.
