Over the last seven days, south-eastern Australia has experienced a variety of extreme weather events. Major cities have been blanketed in bushfire smoke, while flash-flooding, dust storms and golf ball-sized hailstones have wreaked havoc in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Victoria
