Australia’s national anthem is sung in a local Indigenous language before the Australian rugby team’s Tri-Nations match against Argentina. Olivia Fox, a Wiradjuri woman and student at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, sings it in the language of the Eora nation – the Aboriginal coastal clans from around Sydney. Every Wallabies player had learnt the words by heart for the historic moment before Saturday night’s game

Rubbish.
When I have rum rebellion day at my place. I will sing this.
Brilliant ….
Is this available for sale yet? or a better copy?
Next time you can sing it in Indian, then Chinese, then Greek and then every other language that out-numbers the aboriginals. The you will have a proper 'inclusive' society
The NATIONAL anthem should always be sing in English as it is our NATIONAL language
¿Got any Footage of The Argentinian Anthem?
¿Which Indigenous Language is this?
The national anthem should be sung in the national laguage
神の指示に従うべきです。
I feel so proud that I have learnt the eora version by heart ! Thanks to Olivia for singing this through.
Australiagal ya’nga yabun
Eora budgeri
Yarragal Bamal Yarrabuni
Ngurra garrigarrang
Nura mari guwing bayabuba
Diara-murrahmah-coing
Guwugu yago ngabay burrabagur
Yirribana Australiagal
Garraburra ngayiri yabun
Yirribana Australiagal
This is way more meaningfully and appropriate than changing the wording of our anthem!
This American salutes the Australian people and their new anthem. Well done
That is wonderful!
I would knee if I heard that
I hope the Argentinians LEARN A HUMILITY LESSON because they prefer their European ANCESTRY rather than acknowledge their QUECHUAS past.
Teach the anthem to both teams.
ARU. Please make the Anthem in both languages the usual format.Loved It!
How woke can you get. So they play up the road a bit – whose language do they use then? Get it through your heads – there is no Aboriginal NATION. GEEZ
Why the hate people? It’s all love for the culture
If only the non-pocs had taken a knee! Next time wallabies – TAKE A KNEE!
bloody brilliant including aboriginal language in the anthem….
Fantastic…its about time ; )
Okay….late as sin! First this first that..gets old quickly….
Australians all lets us rejoice for we are OLD and free……….Advance Australia Fair !!! To be completely honest and respecrful of your older brothers and sisters of this mainland continent, Do you know where Aistralia is? it is ceetainly not this mainland continent, Look at what the Definition of Australia is in your Constitution..
I deeply and strongly admire the Indigenous Australians and I hope to visit and listen to their music.
