Hollywood heavyweight Tom Cruise has really let his hair down, with the actor spotted partying the night away ahead of his history-making Oscar win.
The Top Gun star hit the dance floor on Saturday evening, getting into the celebratory spirit before receiving his honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Cruise has been making films for 45 years and been nominated four times for a competitive Oscar.

In a video shared on Instagram, Cruise is seen showing off energetic — and surprisingly smooth — moves at an event hosted by the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
In the clip, posted by actor and dancer Brandon O’Neal, Cruise is seen dancing and celebrating with Debbie Allen — the actress and choreographer who was also set to be honoured on the night.
The footage shows Cruise and Allen facing each other on the dance floor, boogying with big smiles.

On Sunday, Cruise and Allen, along with music icon Dolly Parton and production designer Wynn Thomas, received their Academy Honorary Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles, California.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences first announced in June the four would be honoured.
“This year’s Governors Awards will celebrate four legendary individuals whose extraordinary careers and commitment to our filmmaking community continue to leave a lasting impact,” Academy president Janet Yang said.
After 45 years of making films, it was Cruise’s first Oscar win.
As he took to the stage, the Mission: Impossible actor received a minutes-long standing ovation from a crowd packed with film icons, including Steven Spielberg, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jerry Bruckheimer.
“The cinema, it takes me around the world,” the 63-year-old actor said in his acceptance speech.
“It helps me to appreciate and respect differences. It shows me also our shared humanity, how alike we are in so, so many ways.
“And no matter where we come from, in that theatre, we laugh together, we feel together, we hope together, we dream together. And that is the power of this art form.
“And that is why it matters, that is why it matters to me. So, making films is not what I do, it is who I am.”

Honorary Oscars have been handed out since the first Academy Awards in 1929.
Now known as the Governors Awards, they recognise lifetime achievement and exceptional contributions to the art and science of cinema.
They are widely regarded as some of the most prestigious accolades in the global film industry.
