A 35-year-old man from Sydney’s south has been extradited to face sexual assault and aggravated robbery charges in the Australian Capital Territory.
In April, police responded to reports of a man being tied up and robbed at a home in the ACT.
Police will allege that the Sydney man drugged a 37-year-old man before binding, gagging and sexually assaulting him multiple times.
The 35-year-old from Rockdale also allegedly stole $84,000 worth of items.
Yesterday the man was arrested at his home on an outstanding ACT arrest warrant at his Rockdale home.
The man was extradited to Canberra and is set to face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
He has been charged with aggravated robbery, forcible confinement, food or drink spiking, and attempted sexual intercourse without consent, sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated sexual assault in the 2nd degree.
