Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice fly out of the UK just days before father Andrew is stripped of his royal title

Andrew has officially been stripped of his royal title and as the former prince prepares to vacate his Windsor mansion under the King’s orders, his daughters are nowhere to be seen.

In a statement released on Thursday, Buckingham Palace confirmed: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”

But while Andrew remains in the UK to face the fallout for his association with convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are both overseas — seemingly seeking to distance themselves from their father’s scandal once and for all.

Just days before the palace announcement on October 30, Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s daughters quietly left the country.

Beatrice, 37, attended an event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while Eugenie, 35, was photographed in Paris with friends.

The sisters have long offered their father support in private.

In November last year, Hello! reported the princesses had been taking turns spending weekends with him “to boost his spirits”.

“The girls take the grandchildren to visit him most weekends. They are spending far more time with him now than they have done in recent years,” a source told the magazine.

But the timing of their recent travels — coinciding with the King’s decision to strip Andrew of his royal title — has been viewed as a sign that the princesses are prioritising their own positions within the royal family over loyalty to their father.

After weeks of mounting speculation, the palace statement also confirmed Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, as he will now be known, will be removed from Royal Lodge.

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease,” the statement read, adding Andrew will relocate to a private accommodation.

As Andrew and Sarah Ferguson prepare to pack up their 30-room Windsor mansion — their shared home since 2008, despite their divorce — their daughters remain overseas.

Eugenie was seen posing with friends by the River Seine, the Eiffel Tower in the background, while Beatrice attended the Future Investment Initiative event in Riyadh.

Although Andrew continues to deny the sexual assault allegations made against him, this decisive move by King Charles signals the palace is formally and publicly distancing itself from his controversies.

While their father will no longer bear the title of prince, Beatrice and Eugenie will retain their royal honours in accordance with King George V’s 1917 Letters Patent.

King’s full statement on Andrew

Here is the full statement released by Buckingham Palace:

“His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s family releases statement

As news broke that Andrew would be stripped of his titles, Roberts Giuffre’s family declared “victory” over the disgraced royal.

Here’s the family’s statement in full:

“Today an ordinary American girl from an ordinary American family brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.

“Virginia Roberts Guiffre — our sister — a child when she was sexually assaulted by Andrew — never stopped fighting for accountability for what had happened to her and to countless other survivors like her.

“Today, she declares a victory.

“We, her family, along with her survivor sisters continue Virginia’s battle and will not rest until the same accountability applies to all of her abusers and abetters connected to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell.”

Andrew continues to deny all abuse claims against him.
