An elderly passenger has died as a car crashed into a tree on Tuesday.
The young driver of the vehicle was seriously injured when he lost control of the car on Morayfield Rd, near Walkers Rd, at Morayfield, about 50 minutes north of Brisbane, at 12.10am.
The 77-year-old local woman died at the scene, Queensland Police said.
The driver, a 25-year-old man also from Morayfield, was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
