Man injured after Queensland man allegedly drives car at pedestrians


A man has been charged after he allegedly rammed a car into pedestrians in a car park in Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a car park on Saint Smith Road in the Moreton Bay suburb of Beachmere just before 1am today.

Police were told a man had been intentionally driving a black Nissan X-Trail at pedestrians.

A 45-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body and was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.

The car left the scene, but was tracked by police to Beachmere Road.

A 29-year-old man from Caboolture was taken into custody.

He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault while armed, intention to cause grievous bodily harm, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

He is set to appear in Caboolture Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

No other physical injuries were reported.
