The man accused of murdering a Melbourne mum, found in a pool of blood by her son, has faced court today.
Jaswinder Gill has been charged with the murder of his tenant, 44-year-old Rajwinder Kaur, in her home at Epping in the city’s north.
The 50-year-old Rockbank man was allegedly caught on CCTV with another man walking down a street in Epping, dressed in a boiler suit as he made his way to a house on Thursday morning.
It’s there he’s accused of murdering his tenant before changing outfits and walking back to his car, which was parked at the back of the estate.
The victim’s son found his mother with fatal injuries after returning from work to their home in Epping.
Emergency services were called to the home on Gottloh Street at about 5.50pm.
Paramedics attended to the woman, but she died at the scene.
Gill was arrested and charged before facing Melbourne’s Magistrates’ Court.
The 50-year-old, who appeared to be calm and quiet throughout his hearing, did not apply for bail and will return to face a magistrate in February.
