Paramedics and emergency crews swarmed a private property on Glenburnie Road at Yattalunga, about 4.30pm (5pm AEDT) yesterday.
Multiple ambulances, a helicopter and a paediatric team were among the emergency services called to the scene.
Police say the little girl was a passenger in an all terrain vehicle in a paddock.
A woman and another child were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Major Crash police are now investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
