Woman’s death at Mount Gambier deemed non-suspicious following post-mortem, police say

An investigation into the unexplained death of a woman at Mount Gambier in South Australia’s south-east has determined the cause to be non-suspicious, police have said.

Officers were called to a property on Lake Terrace East just before 8am on Saturday morning following reports a woman was unconscious at the house.

Emergency services tried to save the 52-year-old but she could not be revived.

At the time, police said they were examining the case and were “being assisted [by] people in regards to the circumstances”.

Local police, as well as Major Crime detectives and the Forensic Response Section, were involved in the investigation.

A post-mortem examination was also conducted, and the cause of death “has been determined to be non-suspicious”, police said.

Police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
