A man has been charged with murder over the death of 19-year-old Scott Phillips, who was allegedly ambushed outside his Adelaide home.
Mr Phillips died after he was allegedly stabbed in his front yard on Carey Avenue at Seaton on Tuesday night.
On Friday morning, a 19-year-old man from the eastern suburbs was charged, at the city watch house, with murder.
An SA Police spokesperson said the man was known to the alleged victim and “there is no evidence to suggest the involvement of any other person”.
The man has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Police have not confirmed if the man is the same person they arrested on Wednesday for illegal possession of a shotgun and ammunition.
That man faced court on Thursday and was remanded in custody.
Detective Superintendent Des Bray previously said power at Mr Phillips’s house was cut off to lure him outside where he was “immediately set upon”.
“The person was armed, he was waiting, and he unleashed a furious attack on the victim,” he said.
He said Mr Phillips was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene, despite efforts from people inside the house and paramedics to save him.
