Twenty-four hours after the Bondi Beach terror attack, new details have emerged about 24-year-old Naveed Akram, the alleged attacker who acted alongside his father, 50-year-old Sajid Akram.
Naveed, born in Australia and described by his mother as a model son, attended Cabramatta High School and was not particularly social.
He previously worked as a bricklayer and was a practising Muslim.
Police said he repeatedly re-pumped a shotgun during the attack without hesitation, targeting innocent people in Archer Park during Chanukah.
Authorities allege Naveed and his father had practised extensively at Cecil Park, a government-run shooting range.
They reportedly stored firearms, ammunition, and improvised explosives in an Airbnb in Campsie, just 35 minutes from Bondi Beach, while claiming they were going fishing in Jervis Bay.
An ISIS flag was also reportedly brought to the scene.

A former FBI agent told 7NEWS, “We see fathers pass this hatred down to sons. If you consume more of that kind of violent rhetoric, it’s going to brainwash you. With these two men, life was no longer worth living. They went out in a blaze of glory.”
Naveed’s father, Sajid, legally owned six firearms as a recreational hunter, at least three of which were used in the attack.
The father arrived in Australia in 1998 on a student visa and later transferred to a partner visa, while Naveed is an Australian citizen.
