The rallies are anti-immigration and nationalist demonstrations organised by far-right extremist Tommy Robinson, with organisers describing the movement as promoting “national unity, free speech and Christian values”.

Among the crowd, estimated by British police to be about 60,000 people, was the former actress and singer.

Sunrise’s Edwina Bartholomew reported on the march, revealing a video of Valance proudly declaring herself “absolutely right-wing” and encouraging Australians to stand up for their country.

“Don’t be embarrassed and don’t be too scared to stand up for your country, the place that you love, that’s given you everything, that’s given your freedom,” the 43-year-old told the Daily Telegraph.

“Respect it, respect the culture, respect the flag. Don’t be embarrassed to fly the flag. Be patriotic. Stand in that and don’t let anybody tell that you you’re a racist for doing so. That’s disgusting and treacherous and treasonous that they would,” Valance added.

“I think that’s hilarious that right-wing is supposed to be an insult … I’m absolutely right-wing. Call me far-right? All right.”

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, drew tens of thousands of people for the second year running in an event where Islamophobic and ethnonationalist hate speech and flyers were distributed to the crowds.

Organisers claimed millions had attended his “unite the kingdom” march but police estimated the number of demonstrators to be far lower, The Guardian reported.

Last September’s march was attended by 150,000 people.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Valance attended the rally with her new partner, former soldier Grant Gale, who previously worked as a bodyguard for her family before she split from billionaire British property developer Nick Candy.

Valance told the publication she is a strong supporter of One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, describing her as an “amazing, loving Australian” and lauding the One Nation leader for being “super proud of where we’ve come from”.

In January, the pair teamed up to produce a satirical song featured in Hanson’s animated film A Super Progressive Movie.

Titled Kiss Kiss (XX) My Arse, the track was a remake of Valance’s 2022 hit Kiss Kiss, with lyrics skewering so-called woke ideologies.

“To celebrate the launch of A Super Progressive Movie and Australia Day we’ve put this fantastic film clip out today,” Hanson said at the time.

“A massive shout out to Holly who I know watched the film last night and spat water across the room during one particular scene. Tells me the jokes landed really well.”

Hanson said Valance had “instantly said yes” when approached to contribute to the project.

The song reached number one on the Australian iTunes chart soon after it was released.
