Major water pipeline bursts, causing flooding of nearby Sydney homes


A large water pipe has burst in Sydney’s south, causing significant flooding and damage to nearby houses.

Emergency crews have been called to Binya Place in Como where a 1.5-metre-wide pipe was shooting out a large amount of water.

Fire and Rescue NSW said the incident had caused significant flooding to surrounding properties.

It is understood water authorities are at the scene to shut off the pipe.
