A Mooroopna man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Echuca at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a McSwain Road property in the northern Victorian town about 7:30pm on Saturday.
Homicide Squad detectives were called to investigate after the body of a 56-year-old Echuca man was located at the scene.
Aaron James Hare, 30, was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder.
Victoria Police said the men were known to each other.
Mr Hare faced the Bendigo Magistrate’s Court on Monday and the matter is set to return to court on May 12.
