A former school worker has been charged with child sex offences spanning several years in Tasmania.
The 70-year-old man was a former Tasmanian school staff member and was charged earlier this week with persistent sexual abuse of a child or young person.
Police said detectives from Northern Family and Sex Crimes Division led the investigation into the allegations, resulting in the man’s arrest.

The charges relate to crimes the man allegedly committed in the state between 2018 and 2020.
The man is expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on February 18, 2026.
