Singer Halsey is known for connecting closely with fans during live shows but one moment at a recent concert crossed a serious line.
While performing at The Anthem in Washington DC, the Without Me singer was on stage when they were allegedly groped by an audience member.
Following the November 4 performance, footage began circulating on social media showing Halsey performing their hit Is There Somewhere and leaning toward the crowd, as they often do during concerts.

Then, in a moment that left fans stunned, a concertgoer can be seen reaching out and touching the singer inappropriately.
The video shows them place a hand on Halsey’s thigh and moving it further up their leather skirt before a security guard quickly intervenes.

Despite the disturbing encounter, Halsey — who is known for their dark lyrics, unique vocal style and strong activism — can be seen continuing the performance without interruption seemingly unaware of the incident.
Fans, however, have been quick to condemn the behaviour online.
“I can’t even believe I have to say this,” one X user wrote, sharing the video.
“Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent. You people are unbelievable.”

Another fan claimed the person in question later tried to justify the act, saying they thought Halsey was about to fall but the explanation has done little to calm outrage.
“Have we not learned respect?” one person added. “There’s no excuse for this.”
“That is someone’s MOTHER!!” another social media user commented, referencing Halsey’s four-year-old son, Ender.
After the November 4 performance, the singer posted a series of upbeat messages on social media celebrating the show and congratulating Zohran Mamdani on his historic New York City mayoral win.
“I’m zoooooomin right now off of those 3 nights in a row. god damn,” they wrote.
“DC I hope you could tell I saved up lots of energy and brought it just for you.”
Halsey is currently in the middle of their Back to Badlands tour, which kicked off in Los Angeles and runs through February.
The tour includes multiple stops across the US before heading overseas.
Following the Washington DC show, Halsey performed in Minneapolis and Chicago.
Halsey has yet to release an official statement regarding the November 4 incident.
