“My child Chelsea Belle — before addiction took over her life,” the comedian wrote.
“I loved her then, I love her now as she faces a scary future. Prayers welcomed.”
The plea comes after court documents, obtained by TODAY, revealed Chelsea’s probation was revoked and she was sentenced to prison on October 22 by the Marinette County Wisconsin Circuit Court.
According to records, Chelsea has been arrested three times for charges involving felony child neglect and drug possession.

She was arrested in November 2024 for two felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, a felony count of possession of narcotic drugs and two felony counts of bail jumping
Chelsea pleaded guilty in January and was sentenced to six years probation, with the possibility of prison time if she violated the conditions.
In a statement to PEOPLE, O’Donnell expressed compassion for her daughter and others battling addiction.
“It has been a painful journey for her and her four young children,” she said. “We continue to love and support her through these horrible times. Prayers welcomed.”
O’Donnell, who recently returned to Ireland following a successful tour of Australia, has received an outpouring of love and encouragement from fans and friends.
“Sending you so much love, Ro! Love you!” wrote singer Gloria Estefan.
“Sending all the love and peace that’s possible,” added actor Billy Porter.
O’Donnell adopted Chelsea in 1997 and has spoken candidly over the years about their complicated relationship.

In August 2015, the comedian turned to social media for help when Chelsea, then 17, went missing.
O’Donnell later updated fans on X: “Chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody — thank u all for the help and light.”
After being located, Chelsea reportedly moved to Wisconsin, a state in the Upper Midwest of the US, to live with her birth mother, Deanna Micoley.
“Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice,” O’Donnell’s publicist Cindi Berger told PEOPLE at the time.
Chelsea, who is now a mother-of-four, later reconnected with O’Donnell after her first pregnancy.
Reflecting on her parenting journey in April this year, O’Donnell shared an open letter to her daughter titled My Child Chelsea.
“We raise them, we do our best, we all fail in so many ways,” she wrote on Substack.
“But rain or shine, same name or not — that’s my girl, fierce and determined.”
