Pope Francis chuckles as boy climbs on stage and interrupts speech

A boy broke through security, clambered on to the stage and pulled the sleeve of a Swiss guard on the podium metres from the pontiff while he was speaking in the Vatican audience hall.

‘Leave him, leave him to play here,’ the pope said as the child, who he said was speech-impaired, rolled around in front of him on the carpet. As the weekly audience continued, the child was allowed to keep roaming around the podium.

  1. Being able to turn something so ordinary into a lesson is why I like Pope Francis. He seems very kind and understanding. I'm not very religious at all but it just seems like that's how a Pope should be.

  2. 💜 You can’t find one scripture where Peter is acting as a pope or had authority over the other apostles. ——— Get out of Catholicism!!!! 💙. Matthew 16:18-19 is misinterpreted. Binding and loosing is what’s done with the keys. Matthew 18:18 shows that they all had keys. ❤❤❤
