Sue Gray has resigned as Sir Keir Starmer’s top adviser, Number 10 has announced.
In a statement, the prime minister thanked Ms Gray for “all the support she has given me, both in opposition and government, and her work to prepare us for government and get us started on our programme of change”.
She has been appointed as the prime minister’s new envoy for regions and nations.
Chief adviser and former Labour general election campaign director Morgan McSweeney will replace her as the prime minister’s top adviser.

Sue Gray produced the Inquiry into Party Gate. Making out the worst of the scenario regarding the Tories and Boris Johnson. Apparently there was vomit on the walls according to it. Boris explained it wasn't that bad. Why is she getting all the money? What happens to her now she's done her bit? Too many people claiming they're there at the top of the pecking order and saying what they want. When things backfire they just deny an apology. Poor Boris has been totally destroyed by owing up to it. The world is totally backwards!
