A child has been hospitalised after he was allegedly shot during a hunting trip.
The nine-year-old boy was struck in the right thigh about 7.15pm on Friday while on a trip with nine others at a property roughly 40km north of Bourke in remote NSW.
He was rushed to Bourke Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The group, from Victoria, included five men aged between 37 and 63, and four boys aged between nine and 15.

Police have seized 17 firearms from the group, including air rifles, rifles and a shotgun.
Investigations into the group’s firearm licences are ongoing.
