Labor’s actions have contributed to ‘cost of everything’ at supermarkets

Sky News host Paul Murray has called out the Albanese government for its actions which have added to the “cost of everything” at supermarkets.

ACCC Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb has revealed the consumer watchdog will seek significant penalties for Woolworths and Coles if it is successful in its legal action against supermarket giants.

She believes there needs to be a deterrent to stop not only supermarkets but other retailers from misleading consumers.

“This government has done things to add to the cost of everything in the supermarket,” Mr Murray said.
