Erin Patterson’s murder trial: Internet searches on seized device from mushroom cook’s house revealed in court

Internet searches on a device seized from Erin Patterson’s house included a science website where people have previously shared sightings of death cap mushrooms, a jury in the murder trial has heard.

Ms Patterson is accused of killing three relatives of her estranged husband after serving them a beef wellington lunch allegedly laced with death cap mushrooms at her Leongatha home on July 29, 2023.

A digital forensics expert, who examined devices seized by police from Ms Patterson’s house, gave evidence in the murder trial on Wednesday as the case continues in regional Victoria.

Ms Patterson has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, and has denied any wrongdoing.
