Two bodies have been recovered during a search for missing swimmers in South Australia.
South Australia Police and emergency services conducted a search late Tuesday morning after receiving reports about two swimmers who vanished in waters off Streaky Bay.
Police say the women disappeared “while walking the shallows” near Back Beach Road in the state’s western Eyre Peninsula.
It was confirmed just before 4.30pm AEST that the bodies of two women, aged 65 and 67, were pulled from the water. The pair could not be revived.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
