A woman has been killed and another 10 rushed to hospital after a horrific three-vehicle crash in Brisbane’s north, with three suffering life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews were called to Gympie Arterial Rd in Bald Hills about 9.40pm on Sunday following reports of a crash.
Police investigations indicate a Hyundai Imax and Honda Odyssey were stationary in the shoulder of the right lane when a Toyota Hiace van crashed into the vehicles from behind.
A female occupant of the Honda Odyssey died at the scene.
Ten people were transported to hospital for treatment for various injuries.
Of those injured, three men are fighting for the lives in hospital after suffering critical injuries.
Two men with life-threatening head and limb injuries were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, while a third with life-threatening injuries was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The remaining seven people, including four women and three men, were taken to various hospitals in a stable condition.
Queensland Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Gympie Arterial Rd has reopened after being closed for four hours following the collision.
