NSW police seeking a dozen people over public transport sexual assaults, fights


A new police operation has been launched targeting alleged assaults and sexual touching incidents on Sydney’s public transport network.

Police have released images of 14 people they are still attempting to identify over alleged incidents.

In one unresolved case, a 34-year-old man was allegedly assaulted at Strathfield Station about 9.25pm on December 27.

The 34-year-old reported the attack to police, who are now hoping to find out more information about the man.

In another incident, a 24-year-old woman was allegedly burnt with a cigarrette lighter by a man on the same bus as her at Randwick.

Police are seeking to identify the man allegedly involved.

A man is also being sought by police over an alleged sexual touching incident on the Metro between Crows Nest and Barangaroo about 8am on February 3.

A further 11 incidents ranging from assaults on bus-drivers to fights at train stations are in the spotlight of police.
