Shark spotted at ocean pool on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in Manly as Swimmers evacuate and beaches close

Swimmers and surfers on Sydney’s Northern Beaches have been evacuated from a ocean pool after a shark was spotted via drones.

Locals and tourists were evacuated after a shark was reportedly sighted by drones at 10.30am on Thursday at the Fairy Bower Sea Pool and Fairy Bower Rockpool, in Manly.

Lifeguards proceeded to search the area on jet skis and inflatable rescue crafts.

No shark was confirmed to be in the area.

Northern Beaches Council have since confirmed the beach has since reopened.
